Our Indian Legends

Literacy plays a big part in all areas of our work. These Indian Legends show how hard we work. They show we understand what a legend is and how to write in the style of a legend.

 

  

Keeping Healthy

 

We’re a ‘Healthy School.’ You can ask anyone in year 3 how to eat healthily. Healthy food doesn’t have to be boring - it’s all about getting the balance right.

 

 

Holiday Choices

 We all love holidays and our topic of ‘Weather around the World’ gave us the opportunity to ‘virtual visit’ many countries. We learned that the weather affects all aspects of life. The brochure pages we constructed linked to out Literacy, ITC and Geography work.

Problem Solving

 Problems-they don’t bother us. We have all the skills needed to solve a range of them. During our ‘Problem Solving Day’ we worked with partners-use the seven steps to problem solving

  • Read carefully

  • What do I have to find?

  • What facts am I given?

  • Which of them do I need?

  • Make a fact

  • Carry out the plan and find the answer

  • Check your answer-does it make sense?

 Make sure the calculations and answer can be found and understood by the reader!

Simple!
