Healthy living is an important part of our school curriculum. The development of a healthy lifestyle is encouraged from our Early Years Class through to our oldest children in Year Six. Lessons in Science, Technology, PSHCE and Circle Time are used to develop the children's knowledge and understanding. |
Our school nurse is involved in the curriculum for all age groups and helps to promote healthy eating. She is also involved in health education and drugs education. |

Healthy eating is promoted at break times and lunchtimes. A variety of seasonal fresh fruit and dried fruit is sold at our school shop. Members of our School Council monitor the sales and will suggest alternative healthy foods. |
Year 6 Play Leaders help to organise groups of children in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 at lunchtimes. They organise skipping competitions, penalty shoot-outs, ball games, chasing games and so on. |
