Celebration assembly

Our celebration assembly will be held on Friday 20th October at 2.45pm. Please come along and help us celebrate our children’s achievements this half term.

Non Uniform Day

A non uniform day will be held on Friday 20th October. Children who wish to wear their own clothes to school are asked to bring a bottle of something to go on the tombola at the winter fair. Suggested items are: sauce, juice, perfume, bubble bath, drinks etc etc..

PTA

The next meeting of the PTA is on Wednesday 15th November at 3.45pm. Only one parent attended the last meeting. Please come along and support the PTA – it is your children who benefit from any money raised.

Winter Fair

Following the success of our Summer Fair, our Winter Fair will be held on Saturday 2nd  December, 2 – 4pm.  Please put this date in your diary!

Eid Parties

Eid parties will be held on Friday 3rd November.  Children are asked to bring donations of food – no meat products please. Children may wear their own clothes or bring clothes to change into.

The staff and I would like to wish our Muslim children and parents a very Happy Eid.

Parents Evening

We will be holding our autumn Parents Evenings in November.  Monday 6th  November from 3. 45 – 6pm and Tuesday 7th  November from 5.45 – 7.30pm. We hope you will be able to come along and check on your child’s progress so far this term.

Road Safety

All children will be taking part in some road safety training after half term. As 2 of our children were knocked down in the summer, it is essential that you complete the permission form which will be sent out.

Collecting Children from school

May I remind you that any appointments for children should be made outside the school day. However, if you do need to collect your child early, you must come to the main school door and sign your child out of school. This is for fire safety regulations.

Performances

As last year, at Christmas the children in KS1 will be putting on a production and the children in KS2 will be giving a carol concert.

KS2 children will be putting on a production in the summer term after SATs

Lunchboxes

Please can I remind you that children are not allowed to bring sweets, fizzy pop or chocolate in their packed lunch.  Please ensure that your child brings a healthy lunch. Processed foods, crisps and chocolate do affect children’s ability to concentrate in the afternoon session and may affect their academic performance at school.

School Meals

The school kitchen will be doing a special Indian themed meal on Wednesday 15th Nov. All children are welcome to have a meal on this day for £1.55. Please encourage your child to have a school meal and support this special

Coats

We still have some children who come to school without a coat. Unless the rain is torrential, your child will play outside every day and therefore needs to be dressed appropriately.

I hope you have a good holiday – see you on Monday 30th October at 8.50am.
